A year ago, Mike Sorrentino was a dude who just hung out at the Jersey Shore for the fun of it. Now, the Situation is a guy who hangs out there for his job as a star of the show that made the place known around the world. So, at what point did the Sitch know he was famous?
"Maybe when I started to get on the covers of magazines and stuff like that," he explained to MTV News. "But, you know what? I'm just happy to be here."
He also said now that he's gotten a sense of what life is like with a camera in your face, he kind of likes it.
"I've realized what I want to do in life in that I just love being in front of the camera," he said. "I love being an entertainer. It's almost been a lifelong journey to find out what I wanted to do. I'm so happy to be here, and everything's been going great. I have the Situation book, the guide to being a 'Situation.' "
So, what will Sitch wannabes learn from "Here's the Situation: A Guide to Creeping on Chicks, Avoiding Grenades, and Getting in Your GTL on the Jersey Shore"?
"It's a humorous self-help guide, in a way," the Sitch told MTV News. "I just took that lighthearted look, like I was on 'Jersey Shore' with the 'GTL' and the 'FTD's and the 'GFA,' and I kind of brought it to a book."
